We have something big lined up this week: 103 magnums of our 2017 Classic sparkling wine.

If you’ve tried the 75cl version this year, you might be thinking you know what to expect. Think again. The wine has evolved so differently in the larger bottles that we decided to release it as our first brut nature. 

We got very excited during our tasting trials when we discovered that it had developed the perfect balance all on its own, so there was simply no need to add a dosage after disgorging. Another intervention avoided; another link retained between the wine and the land it originated from – just the way we like it at Oxney. 

It tastes utterly delicious and with only 103 bottles made, there are very few people who will get to try it.

Our 21 magnums of Classic 2016 sold out in 30 minutes last year, it’s likely to be a very narrow window of opportunity. Oxney bragging rights will only be earned by the very speedy this Christmas.
